CWP performs genre bending compositions that weave together elements of modern classical, contemporary jazz
and neo-soul music with improv, free playing and extended techniques.
CWP is a musical collective working with various (art) forms,
including spoken word poetry, text, electronics,
community leaders & activists
VISION & VALUES
We seek to support and sustain a transformation in the Mohkinstsis/Calgary music community,
dedicated to collaborating, mentoring and advocating
for musicians and artists seeking to perform, create and study
with gender justice and racial justice
as guiding principles, through an
intersectional lens of anti-oppression.
We commit to cultivating creative artistic practise,
within a supportive and egalitarian setting.
We seek to engage ourselves and others in the pursuit of

recognizing the role that composition
can play in the larger struggle for social justice.
