Smatter Fest 2022
Between July 31 and August 14, 2022,
CWP held the 'smatter festival' which included a livestream, video premieres and a concert.

The concert included a Land Acknowledgment and statement by Red Thunder Woman/Michelle Robinson. It also included a set by the youth chamber ensemble-generationZ, featuring a work by emerging composer-Ethan Shi (he/him).
​
This festival included arrangements of compositions by singer-song writers Yolanda Sargeant (she/her) and Wendy Walker (she/her). It also featured a work dedicated to community leader and activist-Marion Ashton (she/her), using her speech patterns and electronic excerpts through the work.
The festival also included a full length work with spoken word poet-Audrey Lane Cockett, called "Calm", as well as compositions by Jeremy Brown and jacqs walker.

"KWP" was the CWP's concert premiere. We performed the work "Kenny Wheeler Project" which included a 50 minute crossover composition written by jacqs walker.
